Vigilante Torque Converters Are Now Available!

Precision Industries now has their Vigilante torque converters available for the 5.7 and 6.1 LX cars. A torque converter is one of the best "bolt-on" modifications that you can do to a vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission. It can take 3-5 tenths off of your 1/4 mile times!

The 5.7 and 6.1 Hemi torque converters are 9.5". They are single disk converters, have a different clutch pack and an OEM stock cover. Each 9 1/2" converter is made specifically for your application. We'll need the following info when you order -

Vehicle year, model, engine, gear ratio, wide open throttle shift RPMs, nitrous/supercharger and will it be used for street and or strip use?

A good stall speed for daily driven, street/strip cars will be in the 2800-3000 RPM range. This will provide you with near stock driveability while still showing a very noticeable increase in performance. A higher stall speed can provide heavily modified cars a quicker ET but driveability can do down because the converter will feel looser. What do I mean by that? A torque converter with a high stall can feel like your slipping the clutch on a 5 of 6 speed manual shift car. The motor is revving but your not moving away from a stop to fast. Now if you just plant the throttle flat to the floor with a set of sticky tires then it will be time to hold on because you'll feel like your being shot out of a cannon. It's that much of a difference!

This converter is now listed on our website. It is $699.99 and we'll ship it to locations in the 48 states for free through next Monday (2/26). That will save you $30. - $40. You will need to send your stock converter in after the swap. We'll do an authorization for $200.00 to cover the core (not an actual charge). This will be canceled when your core is returned within 30 days.
