There have been a lot of people buying this lately so I thought I'd post up the settings I use in my car. Make adjustments as you see fit for your own style.

Tranzformer settings
When you download the utility, plug the transformer into the computer. Open the utility (configure).

The window will open and you should be at the "shift kit" tab.

click the "drive shift strength settings" and set up as follows -

Accelerating............. Decelerating
1-2 = 40................. 4-5 = 20
2-3 = 55................. 3-4 = 20
3-4 = 65................. 2-3 = 20
4-5 = 75................. 1-2 = 10

At the bottom, set "drive throttle scaling" to 40

now click the "autoshift stick strength settings" and enter the same information as above.

Now, go back to the tabs at the top of the program and click on the "auto upshift RPM" tab.

Check the "enable auto upshift" box. This will make sure that the transmission shifts if you miss a manual mode shift. For the R/T, set these to 5800 which are the stock shift points for the 5.7. For SRT or modded R/T that can run at higher RPM, these can be set higher (6000 - 6400)
***If you choose, leave the box unchecked and the transmission will hold selected gear and bounce off the rev limiter.

Now click on the final tab "options"

Check the "enable steering wheel button shifting" box if you want to use it.

That's it, now click the "save values" box at the bottom of the program to save your settings.

I can speak a little of the experience as I met with Bill yesterday and installed and programed mine...just the steering control shifting is enough to make ya happy...the rest of it just completes the package and creates a Happy Ending - Whhooo wahhh kinda thing...thanks much Bill, appreciate the time!!!...

It might be because you're using a beta version of one of the updates. I remember reading something about an issue like this.

Update the firmware on the unit itself. I use this version and it works fine. Firmware Version 1.2.6 - 080612

Just got mine and I'm going to use your suggestions for setting it up. Thanks for the write up.

Thanks Bill! I ordered mine Sunday and its due to arrive Thursday, can't wait! Just added my inTune & t-stat, Eibach suspension stuff will go on this week.....all the sudden after a year and a half of having this car I've kicked the modding into hi-gear, lol.

Questions tho;

-with these values set like you have them, looks like D and AutoStick are set the same. How strong of a shift does this get me? Will The car usually chirp 2nd and maybe 3rd with that setup?

-also, when I set the steering wheel buttons to shift, does it no longer work as volume control, or would I be turning the radio up and down every time I shifted (lol)?

Thanks again! (On FB Vinny Bobarino)

Hey Vinny!

This is where I have mine set. It's not too firm or soft. See how you like it and go from there. As far as the steering wheel button shifting and the volume control goes. When the car is in "autostick" mode "1-5", the volume control is disabled. Only shifting is accomplished when using the buttons. To regain control over the volume, the transmission must be in "D". All this information is available in the information/cheat sheet downloads from the zautotech site.

After being lost in the mail for a week,I finally got mine installed. Is anyone using the steering wheel buttons to shift w/an aftermarket head unit? Everything seems to be working as it is supposed to other than the burnout mode letting go before I release the stock, but if I use the buttons to shift,my head unit turns up and down as well. I'm wondering if this could be because of the aftermarket interface I'm using to control the radio? I'm also running the latest firmware for the tranzformer.

I'm about to install mine now, and am also using an aftermarket Nav with the steeri g wheel control interface, so I'll let you know if mine does it, too.

Mine is installed!! Easy job, nothin to it. With my having an aftermarket steering wheel control module for my JVC Nav my volume does go one click up or down as I shift with the SWS, too. No biggie, it's one notch....can't even tell as you listen to it.

I did my downshift from 2-1 at 10% in both modes so it doesn't jerk you around as much, it's nice. May switch 3-2 also.

Put throttle boost at 60%, noticed no difference over the 20% my inTune was already set at.

Drive shifts I have the following:
1-2=60%
2-3=60%
3-4=50%
4-5=40%

AutoStick:
1-2=99% (lol, fun! Chirps 2nd pretty good, I was getting nothing at 75%)
2-3=80%
3-4=75%
4-5=60%

I like it. Everything works like it should, that combined with the inTune I installed this week makes the thing a lot more fun to drive. The settings I have for it in D do not shift so hard under normal conditions at all as to piss you off or throw you around. Once I decide if I'm ever going to put a cam in this car I think a stall converter will wake it up quite a bit more.

Now it's time for some more power.....headers are on the way, mids & a Solo c/b are next. Also just bought some Eibach shocks....will be looking for ProKit springs to install this weekend. Thanks for the help, Bill!

Glad to help Chris

How safe do you think that 99% is? It's not like I'll be on it all the time wide open, so I figured it'd be ok....
