Hemi RT vs a RT8-couple of questions

I love my Hemi but am always looking for more horsepower, I went out and test drove a RT8, it is or at least seems, a lot faster. The problem is that it is so much more money than the Hemi that I have.

Is the RT8 really worth the extra money, or should I just spend the money on my RT on aftermarket items to get more perfromance. I have only had mine for about two months and love it, but would love the speed that you get from the RT8, I would have to sell mine and then wait a few months to get the money, but would be willing to add extras the the one I have for more performance.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated, thanks Stone

The SRT8 is a total package. Not only will it do 170 it will stop and hadle the high speeds better. People say that the best performance upgrade to the RT is the popular ijusttradedmyRTinforaSRT8 upgrade. You cant make a rt do all the things the srt does for the same price.

Ive been thinking of something simmilar, but since ive paid off my RT already, i think i will just take the extra money to do some mods. To be honest i couldnt handle the srt-8, I already have 10 tickets on my record when i had my suepped up Ford Lighting 600+HP so the RT is just fast enough to keep me happy, but not so throttle sensitve where i will get a ticket every other week =)

A used SRT-8 isn't a bad option for a good starting point, it is already depreciated and the money you save will help fund some mods....

It's well worth the extra moola. It'll take an easy 5 figures to get an R/T as fast as an SRT8. My R/T STILL gets smoked by stock SRT8s. I have it up to 316rwhp/350torque now. It's better but it's no SRT8. Then you have the brakes, the suspension and the body kit of the SRT.
no compairing the two, really.
