If you don't plan on reusing it or keeping it, I found it easy to use a sawzall right after the x pipe. It made it easier for me to handle. The hardest part for me was getting the connection loose from the mid pipes to the xpipe. To get the hangers off spray them with some lube and then get a pry bar and pry them off. BTW, this was on a R/T.

peybella is just warmin' up!
The rubber clamps should be held into place with a bolt to the bottom of the car frame. (only one bolt for each.) If you loosen the bolt you should be able to get the hooks on the pipes and resonators off. I used a long extension to get up to the bolts.

When I removed mine, I just went aheat and removed the entire rubber mounting assemblies from the car. Then when I put the new system on I left the rubber mounts for last. Just sort of worked around the hooks, set everything into placed and then bolted the mounts back into place. Took me about two hours to change out the entire system.

Like Steve, I used some light oil on the rubber mounts and went ahead and cut the old system out. It does make it easier to handle. If you decide to go back to the old system, you can have a sleve (sleve's) welded to the cut areas and have everything set back into it's original configuration,

You can pop the rubbers off of the stubs by using large channel locks and a little WD-40.
