    Well, i've just heard from the mechanic. he said that the engine seized because it wasn't getting oil. He said 5000$ to replace it with a new one (3yr warranty) or a used one (30 day warranty), with a difference on 95$ between the two. So, i called a dealership. they said they would give me close to 8000 for it, and trade me an 06 Magnum SXT (price to be discussed, listed at 15000 on the website) with 25,650 miles on it. My car has/had 79,900.

    I'm nervous about it, but i read that the 2.7 sucks, and the 3.5 was actually reliable.

    I would go for the trade-in. You get the bigger engine with less miles on it and you can be sure you'll get a warranty with it. Go for it if you can. It shouldn't even be an after-thought.

    Yup, Engine & Tranny = most expensive part of any car...

    I say trade it in for a 3.5 or 5.7

    Ladies and Gentlemen,

    My engine has been replaced. Got the 2.7L engine (with 20,000 mi.) put in for 1000$ (including 3months holding fee/wrecker bill) and the engine cost 2200 from "Midwest Auto Parts". I found several helpful things through the JunkYard Dog website. I HIGHLY reccomend checking it out.
