So I was driving down a rather commercialized street when I happen to spot a black corvette a little aways in front of me. So I sped up and pulled behind him just as he noticed me and put a little more fuel into his engine. He took off but was quickly shut down by traffic in front of him. I caught up again and pulled beside him to notice a Z06 badge on the fender. Sweet I thought as I revved my engine toward him. He revved back. We traveled a few more lights down, all the while with traffic in front of us. Then the traffic seemed to dissappear as we pulled side by side at another stop light. The light turned green and I slammed the gas pedal to the floor with minimal tire peelage as he did the same but it was too late for him as my 425hp torque monster put a car length on him. Then following light came quickly and ended our race. He most likley would have caught me sooner or later, but I still impressed him enough for us to impeed traffic while talking about our cars throught the next light.
I love these cars and the MSRT8 is fast....but the Z06 with 505 HP, Standard Transmission and 3180lb curb weight will pull away from your 425HP 2+ ton sled on most days. The Z06 is faster than any unmodded SRT8.
Play with the Mustangs...at the track...you will have more fun!
Owner of the place I work just got a 6.0L Z06, and I so want to attempt racing him! I know he'll blow by my mesely 5.7L 4200lb sled but still will be fun to atleast see the outcome.

Agreed, but the element of surprise has always been a proven tactic.
No matter how quick or fast the guys Z06 is or how good a driver he is... he's got to explain to his buddys how he got trailered by a station wagon... What's not to love about that story...
As it stands now, a Z06 taking on a Magnum is a lose/lose situation. If they win, so what, you beat a station wagon... If they lose, they got beat by one.
Magnums can't lose... Z06 drivers will always be looking over their shoulders... waiting, wondering... when and where.
