Mustang GT

On my way home from work today I see a guy with a semi-nicely-customized mustang GT doing 20+ over the speed limit, I see him go in front of me at a intersection, I was up front, light goes green so I chase him down... "Someone wants to play!"

Well eventually we catch up at a light with one car in front of me and him behind me. light turns green I go around the car in front and lay into WOT, ESP still on, no slap stick, its about 1/8mile stretch before the light and no cars in front of us so I'm steadily ahead of him until I see him slowly starting to pull up on me, cars in front of me starting to pile up so I hit the breaks pretty early, I'm not about to kill myself or anyone else for my ego. Well he blows by and slams on the brakes pretty hard. I pull up next to him and notice he's got some kid in the passanger sit with him, I smirked at him and he smirked back. Later on down the road he rolls by me in the turn lane, revs his engine so I do the same and give him a thumbs up... light turns green I slowly roll by him and rev up again, of course so does he...

I dunno if it would of been a kill for me, I think he would of taken me if it was even from a dead start, from the looks and sound of it, it wasn't very stock... has anyone else in stock magnum rt beat a stock mustang gt at an heads up drag? Granted all I've got is a cat back and I highly doubt thats giving me much RWHP gains without some headers, and intake.

My wifes friends just got herself one and we already going at it as to who could win

Was fun to open it up little, ive been babying her recently.

my friend used to have a GT. i always let him drive my RT.

he always admitted my stock magnum was the bigger beast even though we never raced.

I haven't raced one.. but the one i drove a while back (sister-n-laws) didn't feel as strong as the Mag to me...

Nice on the "brains still workin lets not ball anybody up.." thinkin....

I dont have a lot under the hood to go rompin but from time to time ...the few things I have done to mine and the sound of the exhaust... has helped me ..... i donno... if you want to call it... bluff my way out of a few here and there... I know I got sorta a quick take off for a 6... but I know a 2.7 aint gonna hold a candle to some heavy hitters... I pick and choose my battles... she aint no sloutch but it aint no hemi...

hmm nope the new mustang gt are fast. My buddy has got a gt of the previous design with cai and exhaust and i've driven it many times and we both agree magnum is a much meaner car. Don't get me wrong his is pretty fast and fun to drive but they are small and don't have the power of a hemi

HEMI (drooling). I raced a GT a couple of weeks ago. ** FORD (F'ed on Racing Dodge) - "Mustank" Drama But, I own an SRT with major mods. This kid really deserved a spanking in my story.
