No one will race me. Except a guy in Hyundai. He romped on it and I then realized he was racing. caught him by the other side of the intersection. More funny that satisfying.

As a general rule, don't bother trying to race an evo. You will not win.

One thing about the ricers is that if you modified the RT to the same degree with similar equipment there would be NO question of losing to them. Take them on and always romp on the accelerator. The one thing that we have against us is that the police are going to go after the BIG V8 versus the evo. My take on racing Jap cars is that you have to go at it stop light to stop light.

Here are the numbers..... the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are about what I do in my modded RT. SRT's can beat those numbers, but if they got mods, you goin' down!

Performance

Performance
Mitsubishi Evolution VIII 0-to-60-mph acceleration 5.7 sec, Quarter-mile acceleration 14.2, Quarter-mile speed 97.2 MPH

Subaru WRX STi 0-to-60-mph acceleration 5.8 sec, Quarter-mile acceleration 14.1, Quarter-mile speed 95.6MPH

I have beaten at least a couple of EVO's and one WRX. Yea they are quick, but you have to choose your battles. All you have to do is listen to that turbo spool. If it is silent, you can roll. If it is loud, don't roll. That is about all there is to that.

Oh yea, a lot of it has to do with the driver.

I beg to differ. The WRX STI as well as the Evo VIII can get it's a$$ kicked by an SRT8. Look up this fact, backed up by visual evidence on YouTube under Jeep SRT8, SRT8. Talk about getting whupped and then bitch slapped. LOL
Mareechi
It seems to me that we have some who are inimical to the Mag being a winner over the STi or Evo VIII? It behooves me to ponder the inequity of this most untenable position.
