We all got fat-asses off the line, but once we are moving...ohh how I love it

I just got my 05' SXT 2 weeks ago and noticed it is kinda slow off the start. It is really understandable considering the weight of the vehicle (close to 4000 lbs.) A lot of trucks don't carry the weight we do. But what I have noticed is that once the car reaches around 2500-3000 rpms or a little higher mph, it kicks hard. Seems the kinetic energy releases and lets me finish with a win the past two off the line races.

I am proud of the win vs the GT considering it is a V8, he pulled away pretty good at the start due to torque, but I ended up moving ahead 2 lengths

It's actually torque, our engines generate most of thier torque in the upper rpm range... I'm debating a 2500 stall for the tranny to compensate... but not sure I want to screw with my warranty like that. I'm looking to try the Jett chip to see if I can get a little more low end torque..

thats what I tried to explain to my boy...

He drives an 02 monte carlo ss and he took off faster than me...

but once I caught up and passed him he was like oh crap...

0-60 is nothing... 70-110 is where you earn your stripes!

110 is the fastest i've taken my Mag (so far...) and I noticed that too, until just before it shifts into 3rd it seems kinda slow, then after that it just MOVES! If only I could find a place around here to open it up without other cars around...or COPS! Been LUCKY enough to say i've never had a speeding ticket (knocking on wood..) and i'm trying VERY HARD to keep it that way!

The stage 2 JetChip, helps ALOT. You still wont take a Stang off the line, you will notice that the upper end of first gear and all of 2nd become explosive.

yeah I got that chance driving through Kentucky and West Virginia this past weekend..

WOOOOOOW... If I had the Hemi I think I would've been even more impressed...

once you get up to around 80 the SE starts to pull away... I was doing 90 the whole way through west va and didn't notice it til I looked at my speed...

0-60 in 4.9 seconds is better than "Nothing"
