No doubt some people here will have opinions on this video... It is a safety video after all, and I am certainly not saying I'm not guilty of doing this sometimes myself, but I think it might be worth it to take a minute to watch this video...
That's the sad truth of irresponsibility. I've been guilty of a light to light, or a quick little jaunt down the highway over the years, but actual street racing can have unbelievable consequences. I wish every where had a local track!
I love cars with power, But I would never Street Race, it could hurt too many!! Our prayers go to the people hurt, and killed by this one and any other senseless death or injury.
Now thats sucks...I cant say that I've never raced a car but, I can say it was on the interstate...racing is still dangerous in any form. Great find but definitely sad to say the least..
Words can not express the contempt and revulsion I feel for people who engage in street racing. Manslaughter is, in my opinion, much too lenient a charge to be leveled against the surviving donkey. Murder would be a more appropriate charge.
The driver's involved were engaging in an illegal activity in which death or great bodily injury was probable.
If these two morons were firing rifles down a busy street, into traffic, no one would think twice about charging them with murder... can someone explain how this was any different, except these projectiles weighed in excess of 3000 lbs apiece.
I have been involved in street racing a long time ago but now that the streets are over filled with to many cars and to many people. I don't think it is worth the trouble if you or someone else gets hurt because of a street race. Here in Md because eight people were killed watching a street race it is now in the for front of the national media. My question is why are the police looking for the people that were drag racing but are not charging the driver of the car the was going down the highway at 3:00AM with the headlights off and going over 85MPH and running off the road into a group of people. Don't get me wrong I don't want anyone to get hurt watching or participating in a drag race. As long as there are cars and there are people there will be racing of some kind some where
we had a hwy back in high school that was traveled sparingly, that was our local strip, no one cared and no one bothered us, it was in the middle of no where, then new police chief, new rules... oh well, no one ever got hurt and there were never n e close calls..... but racing like that? No WAY!
