    Here's what I found but this is not gospel.
    I have heard something like this and I have had some of my CEL codes that clear themselves after a period of time or drive cycles.

    I believe the vehicle has to go through what is considered drive cycles (2-3) where it reaches operating temp and then completely cools down.
    The cycles don't match up with how many times you start and turn it off. If the problem doesn't reoccur, the system is supposed to clear itself out.
