Hello. I'm new to the forum and could really use your help. I started opening up engine and now have a few questions before i continue. - I have a 2005 Dodge Magnum, 3.5L, rear wheel drive. The other day it started making a rhythmic bang, bang, bang noise. Not too hard but solid. Enough to make you say "shut it off!" I opened the top of engine. And after removing rocker arms - noticed the L/H cam was very hard to turn through a spot of about 30 deg., the other turned 360 deg.very easily with no resistance. Everything else looked OK on top. I took down the oil pan down and all on crank shaft was tight and could not be "wiggled" at all. Looking into the pan i found what looks like small flakes and tiny pieces of copper colored material. I have some pictures of them to share.
