My 2007 SXT Magnum lights up the ESP/BAS when I do a 90-degree left turn. Earlier this year I heard a squeking noice when turning the steering wheel, so I´m quite sure it´s the clockspring located inte steering shaft that has gone bad.
It COULD be the SAS (Steering Angle Sensor) too.As I understand it, it´s fairly easy to replace the clockspring (or the SAS sensor)

But... I´ve heard that you MUST initialize the new clockspring with a scanner tool afterwards.

True?
