I am guessing aftermarket is the way to go, but what are your guys' opinions? Taking into account nav, music, screen display, satellite radio, dvd, etc. as well as price. Also, what are the most preferred brands compared to price? Double DIN for sure.

I'm sure this topic has been discussed many times before

Thanks!

Depends on what your whole layout will be if your adding subs Amos ect ect I don't recommend my gig with aftermarket as the limitations . Any stock unit will fade Lu's end as you turn the volume up to stop people from blowing speakers.

As far as head unit depends on what you want it for

I'm leaning towards a double din aftermarket head unit. I want to have the full effect - touch screen, nav, satellite radio, sync with my phone, the whole works. I have a couple of 12" pioneer subs I want to incorporate, as well as eventually redoing my entire speaker system. what do you guys think?

I'd suggest aftermarket. Any of the major brands will do, but I only have experience with Clarion and Pioneer. Most of the mid range units come standard with what you want, but you can always go to a local stereo shop and check out the equipment, then buy it online...or see if they'll price match.

JDV213,

I'm upgrading my Magnum system with the stock Mygig unit out of a 2010 Charger. I'm trying to keep the stock look so it looks like nothing Special. I may replace the speakers at a later date. I think the stock system sounds great but I want the touch screen, ft. & rr. Cameras an I don't want to loose my onboard computer stuff EVIC an Uconnect system plus I will be able to hook up my iPhone & iPod up as well.

Good luck with your project ill keep an eye out on this thread to see how it turns out.
