I’m new to the forum. I’m getting a check engine light and need to smog my car. I don’t trust the mechanics here in Ramona, and I don’t have the time to fix myself. If anyone in the San Diego area has a good mechanic that won’t screw me over, I would appreciate it. Budget is a bit low due to COVID (Single Dad of 2 + Distance Learning = less time for work). I have a 2005 Dodge Magnum R/T with 180k miles. The engine was rebuilt a few years back at 140k and I have about 15k miles on a new transmission. I’m getting codes P1521 P0330 P3400. You can definitely feel the misfires at idle. Runs fine if I granny it, but giving it a bit of throttle ends up with poor idle (sometimes stalling), and a slight jerky drive on the highway. I also get a bad odor coming through the vents, but only on occasion. Seems to happen most when going up hills (fast or slow). Which is weird, because it rarely happens when I give it some gas on level ground. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!
