Since I already had my headlights out to install my halos (waiting to have everything finished before I post pics. There's like 5 mods all at the same time :cool5, I removed my eyelids for repainting -- I wasn't happy with the way they came out the first time.

I've finally finished with the filler primer and sanding and they are looking cherry. I can't wait to get them back on the car!! My question, though, is after I'm finished with color, and clear, and wetsand with 2000 grit sandpaper, how do I get the mirror gloss finish?

I'm missing the steps between 2000 grit wetsand and wax. Should I use a buffing compound? Is there a polish specifically for this? :dunno:

I use a 3M finishing glaze (Perfect-it line) after the wetsand with a drill mounted buffer, then wax.

Clear coat needs to be Buff (polish) or will look dull
remove your wax and do a polishing then wax

Haz, that's what I'm asking. I haven't waxed yet. My question is what do I need to do AFTER 2000 grit and BEFORE wax?

2 light compound
3 Polish
4 wax
5 stand back and smile

No sanding after waxing
