Hi I just came up on an amazing deal 2005 sxt magnum 3.5. 10,200 original miles for only 2grand, clean never been wreaked, new car smell included. But it hasn't moved in 10 years. I put her on a trailer and got her home I plan to do a oil change and try to drain fuel then hopefully start? Dose anyone recommend anything else 10 years is a long time. No easy way to check the transmission fluid?

Just a couple thoughts as I drink my coffee. Does it start? Was it garaged? Check the condition of the tires, get a set of ramps and get under it and look at everything, I would be looking at any and all the bushings. While it has extremely low miles (congrats) you have some things to check out. What I did when I got mine for the tranny, I got one of those hand pumps and pumped out the transmission, (all when cold) changed the filter and then refilled. After I ran it for a couple hundred miles I pumped out the tranny pan again and put the exact amount back in.

Sadly it was stored outside in the Oregon weather although only seems to have suffered a couple exterior window seals. Amazingly only a few spots inside had started to show mold. As of just last night I decided to take a chance and run the fuel it has in it so after a bottle of heat and a light octane booster I started it. For probably 30 seconds there was an unpleasant ticking from passage valve cover that just faded away. I took her to full operating temp and down the street. Tires looked perfect although they have serious flat spots. This is all after oil change and coolent flush. Thank you That's a great idea on the transmission fluid I will be doing the same. If I lived less than 90 min from a dealership I would just take it in.
