Question on AWD cornering:

A RWD pushes you into a curve while a FWD pulls you in. It makes a huge difference to know this and drive to the strength of the platform. But what does an AWD do and what's the best way to leverage it?

Our AWD is a 30/70 split (70% to the rear) which give the car a rwd drive bias.

Take note of the shared pictures my friend, they are of my swap in progress... the biggest OEM AWD was 5.7. There's a few of us out there with 6.1 conversions and there are also others with even bigger yet in their AWD cars.. By this time next year, I should be stroked to 426 CI, or at least 392... still pushing my nitrous when wanted. I just haven't quite decided yet.

05 (bought in 07, 2nd owner) AWD RT Steel Blue 186k on it, 1 transmission replacement, Frankentake C.A.I, Bobs Blastin Pipes, 186 Tstat, and Diablo programmer. Just put new shoes on her and she is getting new light housing front and back with LEDs, and next month new front struts and brakes then tranny service and then lastly in August I give it to my 18yr old for his college car. It has done our family well and he can sleep in it when he needs a break from the dorm:giggle:

Two '06 mag r/t awds both metal flake red. Mag1 176k base model. Mag2 137k
Sunroof & more options for $800. Mag2 oil starved & seized 5.7, but straight inside & out.
Found on craigslist factory Mopar crate 5.7 short block $1500. Listed price was $3650. Score! Just got heads from seized engine back from machinist friend. Surfaced, vacuum checked, magged & stem seals for $350.
Had to put mag2 trans in mag1 when it went out. Will beef & build mag1 tranz to go into mag2 with all new 5.7
Selling mag1 soon.

P.S. anybody taken your AWD out on a big flat iced over parking lot, cranked the wheel all the way to the left then from a dead stop gouged on it?
BEST 360°s EVER!! Donuts donuts donuts! After about 10 rounds in what I estimate at about 12 seconds, I lost track of the revolution count, where I was, & reality. After about 20/25 rounds, vertigo set in. I let off & the car came to a stop. My brain continued for another 2 or 3 turns, just to catch up with the amount of roundy rounds that the car had did! Best fun you can have at 3500 to 4000 RPM!!
