i keep twisting it and nothing happens but its a small hole at the bottom of the shift knob but i would have to be hanging upside down to see if anything was in there for me to unsrew....

Mine was the exact same way, although 2006. I had to keep unscrewing it for longer than it would seem...then it FINALLY came off. A lot more threads than I thought. I have the same little hole down there and thought it was a set screw or something but it wasnt. keep going with the unscrewing idea is my advice.

I did mine and I had to take a knife and pop the chrome ring off the bottom then twist off!!

after you kept unscrewing what was under there was it a screw like top to that pole so i can screw on a new shift knob???

I was gonna say my 07 screwed on but I did have to pop the chrome ring off first or it wouldn't turn at all

aight i came across another problem.....i didnt have to pop off the chrome piece at the bottom all i had to do was un screw the shift knob...but the new shift knob doesnt fit the pole...it doesnt even screw in

you need to drill a tiny hole and put a set screw in to hold it in place
