I have a 2007 Dodge Magnum R/T AWD 5.7 hemi.
On my mechanic’s recommendation I installed the K&N69-2526TP 69 Series Typhoon Kit- Air Intake / Cold Air Intake and love theperformance gain. It lists at $499.00 and sells at $356.99 with a supposed 11 hp gain.
So I went Monday morning quarterbacking and found:
K&N 57-1542 57 Series FIPK - AirIntake / Cold Air Intake, List Price: $410.97Your Price: $296.99, with a 21 hp gain.
So my question is, why is the FIPK $90/$61cheaper with a 10 hp gain advantage?
I'm obviously a newbie here and to performance upgrades so try not to laugh, but why would K&N sell lower HP gain CAIs for higher prices?
