i got my new msrt8 this week - it is very bitchin. it goes in next week for kw2 coilovers and it does really need an exhaust system for a bit more throat. any comments on this one?

thanks - it is a nice ride and the more i drive it, the more i like it. it is blindingly quick, the audio and nav systems first rate, the fit, finish and materials are also very nice. coming from an fx 35, while not as nice, it is not that far off. but christ is it fast! not too stoked on the mileage though...

btw, at least listening to audio clips, i think i like the sound of the magnaflow. i am going to get close to a 3" drop with the coilovers - i'll post pics when complete.

 

That's the setup I went with. Bought it from performancepeddler.com for $600 and the shipping was freeeeeeee. Was glad I didn't have to carry that package across the country for no money.

 

few questions, The 08 had the new hood right and if so does it for on the other models cause it looks like they changed the lights. Also did you order the rack on top? I need to get one so i can put my canoe on it. Also what wheels are those? did they change those too?

 

yes, the '08 has a new hood with an air scoop that actually is functional(!), the front is redesigned, and those are the optional aluminum srt design wheels ($250) that i don't think too many people order as the standard ones look just fine. yes, i ordered the roof rack and i just put a black rocky mount bike rack on that looks good - it is low and hardly even noticeable. it adds a bit of wind noise, but if you hear wind noise that means you don't have your foot into it enough!

It looks like something close to that gets the fenders to the top of the tires, which is right about where I think it'll look good.

Zoomers sound AWESOME on the SRT's!

 

Is there a big difference between Zoomers and Cherry Bomb's? Or am I comparing apples to, well, cherries

 

I dunno.... I've never heard Cherry Bombs, except on my 68 442! Several of the guys here in Cali have the Zoomers and they sound a bit more raspy than the magnaflows, which have a deeper throatier tone. They say the Zoomers have less drone inside the car too.
