Hey forum members, I'm considering a rare 2008 Dodge Limited Edition SXT Magnum Wagon. The seller claims this one has been driven less than 8,000 miles a year and has had over $4,000 spent on add-ons, customizing, and maintenance in the last 1.5 years. It features a powerful 3.5L V6, new Goodyear tires with lifetime alignment and balance, a new battery, new front brakes, recent synthetic oil change, new wiper blades, chrome accessories, and custom seat covers.
It’s loaded with power everything except a sunroof and leather seats. It's tricky buying from a different state since I can't see the car in person, and the dealer is new to me with no reviews yet. They seem nice in our conversations, but I want to be sure before sealing the deal. The car priced at $6,550. Any advice or tips would be awesome. Thanks a bunch!

Looking around and I'm in CA, it seems to be priced within reason. The SXT was the second trim model with a lot more added options. Looking around I can't find anywhere that Dodge made a Limited Edition Magnum, and with that being said, if they did, I would think it would have come with leather seats at the very least, so be wary of their claims. As far new tires with lifetime alignment and balance, that adds no value to you if you are buying out of state, you are not driving all the way back to the place you purchased for balancing, alignment and new tires. The $4k in upgrades, well that needs to be proven, that's a lot, and oil, wipers and some chrome badging don't cut it. Upgrades does not transition to "normal maintenance" items which is what I think they are trying to pass on to you as upgrades. Overall if I were you I'd keep searching for one closer that you can place eyes, hands, and feet on, Just my .02.

Limited Edition=LE which was the lowest model. While not totally stripped, it is kind of basic. SXT usually gives you power leather seats and heated seats, leather steering wheel and shifter.
I have an 06 LE and dont have power seats. While not terrible, the drivers seat sits really low. They typically had the 2.7l engine also. If it has the 2.7l engine, run away. Even well maintained they will fail. Most didnt make 60k miles. Especially 100k. The 3.5l is a way better engine if oil changes are maintaned.
