So I installed my fog lights last night went to take some pictures but my camera died waiting for the battery to charge on the old school work camera. Pics to come!

So anyway called the local dealership what a bunch of jackasses three poeple had no idea they needed to be activated they tried telling me they should work right after install.....I told them they needed to be activated with a starscan they finally found someone who clarified and he said it would take him an hour and they wanted 98 bucks.......i was like wow an hour and 98 bucks for a 5 minute job have a nice day!!!!

To top it off I tried calling the dealer where I bought the car and the phones are down..........So any ideas on a good place to go?

here is a pic with my crappy work camera...

Not 100% happy with the grille I think i need to do a little tweaking on it...

Let me make some calls....I have a fellow MSRT owner that works at a dealership (In the Service Department) Also I have to find the number of another member who has a starscan....but I will get back to you on this...Call me later just in case I forget....:trink13:

moes the man hey moe i called you back pick your phone up!!!!! hey alex hope you get that fog light hooked soon without taking out some mad cash !!

why do you need a starscan tool to use fog lights, that seams silly...

Thought about doing fog lights but have to go to the dealer to activate them, that just not right...

Could you run the power to a dist block from a car stereo and have them work with out being programmed?

forgive me if i'm an idiot, but to get to the fog lights you need to get in front of the wheel well correct? are those plastic rivets holding the panel on replaceable or do they just pop right back in or what? am i gonna need to pick some up somewhere before i tear it open?

its an option that needs to be turned on within the system you can always run your own wires with a different switch.

doesnt someone have it locally here in socal? i remember someone does starscan at teh local meet but not sure who it is
Jonw from SoCalLX has a starscan and does upgrades for a donation which goes to various charities you should be able to contact him at www.socallx.com. He is out of Huntington Beach!
