Ok, guys and gals, here it is!!!!!!
For those of us who are also LX Forums members and have been watching very closely, DiabloSport and PPP have set a definite deadline to get yourselves ready for the V6 Predator tuner.
There are two main threads:
This is a page to the PPP group buy that shows PPP's date ultimatum and the list of names of those who have already paid and will recieve their tuner first
V6 Tuning Group Buy! - Page 23 - LX Forums Modern Mopar Muscle

Here is a link to the thread that DiabloSport started about the V6 Predator. This is page 34 where Mike@DiabloSport mentions because DiabloSport doesn't sell direct, so to buy one you will have to go through a vendor.

I paid on Thursday, in advance, $354.00 for the tuner and necessary cables. Standard shipping is free. Now I'll be #29 to receive mine. The tuner alone was $319.00 which is $100 cheaper than MSRP.

I suggest you wade through the above threads and pay attention to the Beta testers who already have their cars back with the new tune installed and see what they think of it. You'll be impressed.
Hopefully this thread is helpful for those who know about the Predator as well as to those who have never heard about it. Especially the new members searching for more power out of their V6.:smilie2:

Oh yeah, BTW: IT WILL NOT WORK FOR THE 2.7L

No worries, at all, BTW thanks for my 7th bean!!!! When you said that, I got kinda worried. They first started testing BigAl's car (2.7L). I was afraid that when he found out that it would work for his ride, that he was gonna come knock down my door to take mine from me. I am guessing the next week my tuner should arrive at my house. (Thank heavens for beta testing)

Yep I am on the group buy as well. And shipping in 2 weeks is being on the very conservative side.

Not sure where you got that they will be shipping in 2 weeks. Not saying you are wrong but they never said that. They just posted the last day to get in the group buy. They still have my car so they are finishing up a few things. then of course they need to send it to PPP before it gets sent to the customers.

So I don't get it these tuners.
Is it just plug and play and then you set accordingly to whatever other mods you have done (Headers, turbo, exhaust, CAI, etc)?

I have a 3.5 AWD and the only performance mod i've done is a K&N CAI. Would buying this and installing it give me any HP right out of the box and adjusting? Or would I need to go ahead and buy more performance mods along with this thing?

And will this work with regular gas or will it only work with premium gas?

Sorry for being so stupid about all of this, I do want more HP and from what I've heard these things are awesome for the Hemis.

I just want to know i'm not throwing $300+ down the toilet.

Can someone help me out?

Some info on tuners, specifically applying to THIS tuner for the V6 LX:
The tuner comes in the form of a handheld tool that plugs into the vehicle to upload tunes which come in various forms. Typically the tool will ship with multiple tunes for various setups usually based on what octane fuel that you run. The handheld module can connect to a computer to charge as well as update the handheld's software and I believe also upload custom tunes to it. Once you have the tuner, you can also take it to shop that does said work with a dyno to create a custom CMR tune specifically for your engine and your exact mods.

Specifically in this case, the beta testers and Diablo have stated that they believe the preset tunes to be 89, 91, and 93 CAI tunes. However, I know Airhammer is also working with Diablo to create custom CMR tunes for Airhammer owners to benefit even more from the intake. This tuner will also remove PE (Power enrichment) delay which creates an instant throttle response, it also increases shift firmness, and of course adjusts air/fuel and timing, etc. From the Dynojet numbers I have seen on LXforums, we are looking on average of about 20rwhp and 20lbs of TQ gain from 2 indendent dynos and 2 different cars. Both of these cars have had minor bolt on mods, one of which even had a stock intake. I would say this is the BEST performance mod to date for the 3.5 if it does what they say it does.
