The forums have been upgraded to the lastest version of the forum software and with that comes some new features. In this latest version of Vbulletin, there are new Social Networking features. We recommend everyone take a look at their User Control Panel and look for the new features. We also suggest you take a quick browse through the FAQ which will explain some of the new features. In addition to the new software, I have been modifying the board to add even more features. Its just like our Magnums, I can't help buy modify it. So here is a list of new features:

Socials Groups - You can create or join your own group. Upload photos and post messages for the group to see.

New Member Profile look and Visitor Messages - Just Click on a username and you will see the new look. There is now a "guestbook" on your profile for other users to leave you comments.


Advanced Forums Statistics - You can see this at the bottom of the Forum Home.

iTrader - An ebay style feedback rating system. You will notice under your avatar text such as "iTrader: (0). You are now able to leave feedback for transactions here at CustomMagnums. You are limited to 3 feedbacks per day and you must reference the thread where the deal originated. The thread must be in the "sell your stuff" forum or a supporting vendor forum.

Answer Forums - Similar to Yahoo Answers. You post a thread with your question and other users post possible answers. Then choose the best answer.

Donate System - I've had some users ask if there was a way to donate money to the site even though they already had become supporting members. This donation system is completely separate from the supporting membership packages. You do not receive any physical items when you donate. You do get a spiffy "donator" image and the advertisements will be removed. Anyone can donate, you don't have to be a supporting member already.

Tags - You will notice when you post a new thread, there is a field to add tags. We suggest you add relevant tags, such as supercharger, exhaust, muffler and so on.

New Buttons/Graphics
New User Ranks Images

If you experience problems with the search feature and get an error message regarding a security token, please clear you browser cache, close and reopen your browser. We have been having random reports of this bug. I have not been able to duplicate it myself. I am using Firefox and have not run into any problems. If you do run into problems, please PM me with exact details on the error (i.e. browser info, error, what you were doing when the error happened, etc.)


Supporting Vendors and Moderators ONLY -

Canned Replies - Do you ever get asked the same question? This feature will allow you to save those replies and choose them from a drop down box when replying to a thread or pm. You can create and edit your replies in the user control panel

lol, when I saw those new tags earlier today I almost thought they photoshopped a pic of my mag for it, it was so close. pretty cool either way!

Okay, I gave an itrader to 3 people (the limit) yesterday, and I just tried to give another one (about 3am) on the next day, and it still says I reached my limit for the day.....when does it refresh the count? I gotta couple more I wanna give out!

hello why does the itraded points have to be thru a tread i have sent a lot of things on phone calls from members such as amp by pass wiring and interior parts and things like i would think that it should be open to all dealings with members that way you sort of know who to trust

Agreed that might need to be changed, but then it can be abused, as with beans, anyone can leave you feedback whether they bought something from you or not. So this could lead up to someone screwing someone if they get their iTrader feedback padded. So just post up a thread, and let the member that bought it post in it that all went well, and then BooYa you are able to be left feedback, and you can do the same in return. Just a thought to fix that for you. :)

Now that I think about it, I normally post For Sale threads on here and LXforums..I have a (32) iTrader feeback on LXforums, and (0) here..But everyone whom bought from me is a member on both forums, but bought it through the thread on the LXforums.

That is exactly the reason why I have chosen to require a thread to be referenced. I'm sure there a honest people who are conducting their transactions over the phone or via email, but I would like to see a thread for the transaction, just as ebay gives you a link to the auction. I do not want people padding each others iTrader. After you recieve a positive 5 iTrader rating, the limit of 3 ratings a day is lifted.
